Emergency Contraception
Contraceptive advice including the morning after pill. This service is for confidential advice and for the provision of Emergency Hormonal Contraception.
Emergency contraception prevents pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. Options include morning-after pills (levonorgestrel or ulipristal acetate). They must be used within 3 to 5 days, though efficacy decreases over time. It is free through NHS services for patients under the age of 25.
